Kimberly, (our middle daughter), had her tonsil surgery today, she had them and her adnoids removed.

they were reported as being three times the normal size.

it all went well however, she will be recovering for at least 10 days, the critical time in these surgeries is 7 to 10 days out, this is when the burns become scabs and begin to fall away, or tear away, and there is the most potential for a re-bleed, if this does occur, the whole process will be repeated, minus the removal of coarse.

she is on simple diet of stuff that is cool and soft, but she has quickly learned that too much of something can be a bad thing.

5pm...... "dad, i am hungry"..... you want a pop cycle? ......"Yes"!

10pm ........"dad, i am hungry"......you want a pop cycle?........ " NOOOOOOOOOO" !!!!!

 Grin

thanks for the replies fellas......

she tried chicken noodle today, luke warm, like she has to eat everything right now, (nothing hot),
but that looked like it did not win her over very well, hard to swallow and from her reaction,
it seems like luke warm chicken noodle is not the greatest thing out there, found some smoothies that won some extra points though.

I know it may sound harsh, but lemon ice-cream should help her heal faster...

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about. When I was about 8 I had my tonsils removed and when I woke up that's the first thing they gave me, well that and real lemonade. It helped heal fairly quick. I hope she gets better soon...
