you guys think about a spider spacer to help the the triple joint come together? that would also give you the option of 2 stiff spaced spiders. for higher power applications. i really wish some one had a huge amount of power to test these with. im wondering how they would compete with the t3 audio tsns. they will take 40k on burps. this motor has more cooling but i think needs a little more suspension and it may be there.

2 spiders would NOT be benificial to this design and a spider spacer would also bring the lead wires too close to the cone. You would really have to see the spiders we are using in person to understand their makeup. If we were to use 2 spiders of this compliance you would burn even a 4 inch coil before you would get usable excursion. Somethig most people dont realize is that 2 spiders placed apart will make the throw less linear not more linear. The most stable setup is with the spider as far from the surround a possible and any added suspension between those 2 points add's a leverage point that decreases linear stability. A spacer and 1 spider would just lower the distance from the spider to the surround. Dan Wiggans that used to own Adire, did a great write up on this years ago.
